Africa

We are learning all about Africa.

We made African Masks, learned some African songs and tasted African rice.

The continent of Africa borders the southern half of the Mediterranean Sea. The Atlantic Ocean is to the west and the Indian Ocean is to the Southeast.

Africa stretches well south of the equator to cover more than 12 million square miles making Africa the world's second largest continent.

Africa is also the world's second most populous continent.
Population: 1,022,234,000 (Source: 2010 United Nations)

Africa is one of the most diverse places on the planet with a wide variety of terrain, wildlife, and climates.
